How do Numbers Bars work with Barchart data?

I want to monitor and trade the S&P500 emini – the ES and use Numbers Bars charts in the process.

The SC documentation http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_NumbersBars.php#ServicesThatSupportBVandAV does not list the Barchart data service as providing historical Bid Volume and Ask Volume. Is this list up to date?

Does this mean that I can get Barchart daily intraday Bid Volume and Ask Volume data to accurately power the Numbers Bars study but I cannot download historical data to look backwards in time?

Am I correct that without the Barchart ability to download historical Bid Volume and Ask Volume that I can only look back for the number of days I actually monitored the market and in effect “recorded” the live tick feed?

Thanks for your help.

Pete

Our recommendation is not to use the Barchart Data service with Numbers Bars.

The problem is that Sierra Chart does actually set the Bid Volume and Ask Volume when downloading historical Tick data from the Barchart Data server but it is based upon up ticks and down ticks which is less than accurate.

Bid Volume and Ask Volume will be accurate for data received and stored in real-time when using this service.
