We are not seeing this issue. Did you start the sub instance through File >> New Instance? What version are you noticing this with?

One other user has the issue: Historical Data errors! - Using Instances
Version 2164 (prerelease)

For me, this is not an issue, as I have now recreated my workspace not to use any sub instances.
