I am having issues with real-time trading through Bitmex API whereby attached orders are not being activated after parent order is successfully executed on the exchange (Bitmex).

Furthermore, I observe that there is no change of the orders status reflected in the Trade Orders Window, the parent order status is still "open" and the attached orders status are "pending child - client". Thus, it left me with an open position without any targets and stop.

The following log for your reference:

Order modification failed (InternalOrderID) | BitMEX Trading Direct error: Invalid ordStatus. Internal Order ID: 824. Service Order ID: 8ba980c9-392a-b8c4-61f6-22a1e88feaa5. Symbol: ETHUSD-BMEX. Account: 667*** | 2020-09-07 14:21:57.360 *

We really do not know the true reason for this rejection. It does not make sense to us. How can an order modification have an invalid status. It makes no sense to us.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

There is no such issue anymore after I restarted the program and computer. It is working as intended where all the orders are executed properly on the exchange.

I was using a different API key for simulation mode earlier yesterday and used different key for real trading. I could not recall if i relaunch Sierra after change key, it probably have something to do with the issue.

We do not see why you would need to restart Sierra Chart and certainly not your computer.

You can change the BitMex API key and reconnect to the data feed and that is all you would need to do.
