Upgrade to SC real time was easy - as long as you pay your money, getting connected is the hard

I subscribed to your RT service recently via AMP and finally got it going. However, I have two other feeds from you that do not work.

After signing on for your RT feed w/AMP, I cancelled my Barchart RT feed and added a second SC RT feed. It worked for a day (2.03.14), but now when I try to log in in the PM (of 2.03.14), this second platform no longer gives me new data (it would do so all during the daytime globex session). It says it does not recognize UN/Pw, which of course, it will not since I have cancelled it. However, I am getting no love from Sierra Chart, as apparently you are denying my connection as well. This is one of my concerns: I sign for your service, but it seems to be left to the mystical cloud to put it all together. I was given no new credentials to log onto these services, and the old ones do not work.

Next, I have third PC, which I have been able to connect via your historical service. However, now when I try to connect all three together: AMP, old Barchart, and free HP, it will not do anything. I can connect to AMP, but the rest, forget about it.

This third connection via my HP senses that I am trying to connect w/barchart and refuses your supposedly free historical connection. That does not seem right, as you have advertised this as a free service. It is like the BC feed ended, and I have paid you for a RT replacement, but neither one works.

Previously on this third PC (HP) I was getting Historical updates, but now that I have signed for the second feed, this third one for historical no longer works either. It was updating yesterday, now when I try to log in at the same time the PC with the old BC connection log in, this one no longer works.

Here is my situation: I have paid for two SC feeds and am only getting one. Plus, the third one that is supposed to be free, refuses to log me in because it detects the AMP feed, or the BArchart feed (which is not working)....or maybe it is screwed up because of sunspots, I really do not know. You are too cavalier in your documentation! There is not enough information to understand these complex connections. And in my case, mostly they seem not to work.

I was never given log information, etc., it is as though the angels would take care of it all. Well, I am not a believer in angels or god, so maybe you can figure this out for a mere mortal and send me the credential I need to get your data. PS. I am sending you the log in screen from all three connections.

There are no credentials. This is all automatically handled.

Plus, the third one that is supposed to be free,
What are you referring to here? There is no third free data feed. Where did you get that idea from?

In the first image you have attached, you will receive the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Futures data feed. This uses one of the Sierra Chart Futures data feeds. So there is one remaining at this point.

In the second image you attached, using Barchart, you will not. The CME data feed only works with the supported trading services. This is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Integration

In the third image you have attached, you are not able to log into Sierra Chart because there is a limit of using Sierra Chart on 2 different systems at the same time. You need to be on Sierra Chart package 5 for 3 systems. To change your Sierra Chart package select Help >> Account Control Panel on the Sierra Chart menu.

Later on we will see, and we have to get approval for this, if we could allow the CME futures data feed to be used when not connected to a trading account if you have gotten a successful connection to a live trading account from another instance of Sierra Chart.

And later on, as we add in more exchanges, you will be able to access the index data and stock data separate from a trading account. Currently you can access EUREX and ICE without a trading account if you have pay the exchange fees, when you use the "SC Exchange Data" service.

Where on our website do we say this?

There is the Sierra Chart Historical Data service that is available to use:

For historical data use this service:

Another thing that has come to mind, is you should update Sierra Chart to the current version which is 1088. Update by selecting Help >> Download Current Version.

Well, I have gone through all your responses and back to the site to review these links, and it would seem I understand very little of what I was reading, or was being outlined on your site. However, as I go through it slowly, item by item, I deduce the following: I need to upgrade to a third tier of SC to enable the use of free Historical data on a third PC.

It is the second instance of SC R-T data I added that has me confused. I envisioned that this would take the place of my Barchart R-T service, but that appears not to be the case, as I only get "Limited" R-T data. In fact I do not understand what is included if one does not have a second trading account connected to it? Certainly not CME, or ICE or anything else, which is all extra cost? What am I missing here? If I don't pay exchange fees, then there is nothing here, right?

Postscript I note this sentence in your documentation for SC R-T data:

This data feed is priced at 35 USD per month for the first connection and 20 USD per month for additional connections (up to 3 connections).

There are exchange fees that have to be paid for exchanges other than the CME.

This would seem to imply that I could use my second R-T data feed and get CME data without exchange fees, true?

To use Sierra Chart on three different computers, you do need Sierra Chart package 5.

You can use your second Sierra Chart Real-time data feed with the Service in Sierra Chart named "SC Exchange Data". However, you will not receive real-time CME data for the CME. Only other exchanges you have subscribed to. Although you will be able to receive historical data for all the exchanges.

Take note of the following from the documentation:
If you want to access the CME futures data, this can only be used when you are connected to one of the following trading platforms or services: TransAct/Infinity, Interactive Brokers (Live account needed), Rithmic, CTS T4, TT (Trading Technologies) FIX, AMP/TTNet, TD Ameritrade, Open ECry. This is required in order to take advantage of the exchange fee waiver from the CME.

Hi,

"Later on we will see, and we have to get approval for this, if we could allow the CME futures data feed to be used when not connected to a trading account if you have gotten a successful connection to a live trading account from another instance of Sierra Chart."

Maybe also try to get approval for over the weekend for people who can't connect?

Thanks for your consideration.
