Rebuilding a CPP file on 2158 that has two SCSF functions, and while it compiles OK, I get the above error next to the DLL file when trying to add the Custom Study.

Does the file include a SCDLLName line?

This indicates that it is missing that SCDLLName function then. We do not see how this is a problem with version 2158.

Yes, you would think that. However, if I comment out the line, I get this error when trying to build:

-- Starting build of Custom Studies Source files: FC_DJ_Study_Stack_2151.cpp. -- 16:40:02

None of the selected source files contains the SCDLLName() line at the top of the file. Refer to ACSIL documentation.
-- End of Build -- 16:40:02

The line is there. It builds and works fine in 2144. Did you try building it and viewing the Add Custom Study window?

Note that message #1 was the first time I had this problem, and I thought it was due to multiple SCSF functions, but I had it two more times with two other files, including the one I attached.

Now it is working. Not sure why. Will try the other ones that had the issue.

Did you gain any clarity on how your problem was resolved? I'm having the same issue after having upgraded to 2164. I have only one SCSF function in my file.

Restarting Sierra and recompiling seemed to fix it.
