Last price (Dec) 1950, DChg reported as -20.4 which is wrong. 1970.4 was nowhere in yesterdays range.

IB shows the correct change on the day, -62 points. Can you please confirm if you can investigate why the DChg on my quote board is wrong? I'm a new user and a little puzzled by this. |

The comparison is done to the settlement price: https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/metals/precious/gold_quotes_settlements_futures.html#tradeDate=08%2F19%2F2020 And we can see the exchange has already transmitted the settlement price for trade date 2020-08-19. Normally we would expect that to come after 5 PM US Eastern time. But it is been sent earlier. Not sure why. The calculation is based upon exchange data. So here your complaint that something is wrong, has now generated this complaint due to the solution we implemented: SETTLEMENTS So you can see that we cannot make anyone happy here. So we want you to respond to them, that you were getting "wrong" settlement prices. And that you were not happy about that. And you were insisting they were wrong. And Sierra Chart was doing something absolutely terrible by providing preliminary settlement prices as reported by the exchange. I am very sorry for my mistake, the extra work it took you to fix it, and then the future work caused by reverting the change for another user. For anyone searching in future, I have quoted your response from the other thread: Anyway we think it is best policy for us to not filter any settlement values from the exchange. We will make this change before Monday morning.
Users just need to understand, that they will see preliminary values as they come through the feed. And if they come earlier than expected, it will alter the daily price change. |
