Hi, I'm using spreadsheet for trading study. And have encounter Minimum Chart Bars Required for Entry Exit Cell Evaluation not working when backtesting multiple days together using Trade >> AutoTrade System Replay Backtest. Chart settings use date range July 27 to July 28. Bar period 30 secs Minimum Chart Bars Required for Entry Exit Cell Evaluation 10. Session time: 9:30:00 - 16:00:00 I will have an Entry on July 28 at 9:30:00 ? It does not wait 10 bars before entry? |

That setting does not do what you are expecting. It applies to bars in the chart, not to waiting for bars after an event. Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading: Minimum Chart Bars Required for Entry Exit Cell Evaluation To wait 10 bars, you need to count bars since the event in a Formula Column, like this: Spreadsheet Example Formulas and Usage: Formula to Count Bars Since An Event Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-08-19 16:42:43

Thx tom! Seems like I misunderstood that setting. Thx for your pointers. But I will be using Start Time For Allowed Time Range (read/write) instead. Cheers bud |
