If my custom study is not on a chart and I open studies and click Add Custom Study - SC initialises my study AND it suppresses prints in log AND It looks as if when I add the study to a chart - the instance created after Add Custom Study is still in memory And my named pipe fails to create.. Why do you do it? Can it be fixed? Can I at least have another flag to use with sc.SetDefaults to query if it is "dry run" or the study is actually has been added to a chart? |

It has always been this way and will not change. This is to determine the name of the study. The proper way to do what you want is documented here: ACSIL Programming Concepts: Study Initialization/Unitialization Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
