Hi,

I want my orders (both pending orders and open positions) to be automatically closed out at the end of the day. How do I do this? Is there a setting in the Sierra trader or where can I find it?

Thanks

Sierra Chart does not have the capability to flatten positions at the end of the day itself and this is not likely to be added.

However, to have orders canceled at the end of the day simply set the Time in Force for them to Day.

How could that be done using sc.FlattenAndCancelAllOrders()?

You could use that ACSIL function to flatten your position and cancel the orders for a particular symbol. Refer to this page for more information:

Can you give me an example? I assume it would look something like "If time of day is >= 15:15, then sc.FlattenAndCancelAllOrders()"
Or is something like this in any of the Sierra example systems?

You could use the spreadsheet for trading study, and use the flatten cell (I think it's J29). You would set the value of the cell to true if the time of the first bar (in row 3) is greater than a certain time.

Maybe try

if(GetHour()>12)

or whatever the hour is you want to flatten.
