I don't understand the process of porting at all so feel free to elaborate on what's involved. I've read all the other posts on the forums about this BTW. Do you think porting Sierra to ARM is inevitable? (Apple Silicon announcement, Windows ARM, etc) How difficult would it be and how long could it take? I know you have tons of stuff on your plate but just curious about your roadmap for 2-3 years down the line. Thanks for your time! |

binaryduke, I know this is a tough question and they shouldn't have to make promises to me. I'm honestly just curious for now. I hope 3 years is reasonable.

owendonk - agree 100%. Apple are good at driving longer term trends - CD slot removal; SSD, etc. If Windows world ultimately becomes more ARM-led x86 apps must for sure follow.

We can do an ARM configuration but we do not have any easy way of testing it because we do not use ARM processors. We will put it on our task list but we do not know when it will be done.
