Hi, is it possible to calculate volume profile for only selected group of bars shown on the chart? |

Yes, you can do this by setting the appropriate parameters for start and end date and time Inputs. But the easier way is to use the Draw Volume Profile Tool. Refer to the information here: Volume By Price Study: Draw Volume Profile Just be aware that the Draw Volume Profile only works with Package 5 of Sierra Chart. I only find issue to set the ending range to stick to the most right bar that extend to the right when new bar is created. I have read "Tool usage" section, paragraph 4 which I assume talk about it but cannot understand how to make it. |

The problem is that the Drawn Volume Profile is always using a Start Date/Time and End Date/Time. You are wanting a Volume by Price setup that uses a Volume Graph Period Type of Start Date/Time to End. Therefore, to do this, you need to save a Study Collection that uses a Volume Graph Period Type of Start Date/Time to End and select this Study Collection to use with the Draw Volume Profile configuration.
