Hi,

I noticed sometimes, my spreadsheet conditions are met, but i can't get a trade to be opened. Attached is an example, at 15h 25 , conditions ok, the spreadsheet even said"true", but no orders. on the graph, the big red arrow is my indicator signal, and the little one is the spreadsheet arrow, that means all the conditions are indeed ok. But no trades, as you see this. i have the "show orders fiils" enabled, and no visual trades there, neither in the trade activity log, nor in the trade services log or trades positions.
The strange stuff, is that 10mn later, it took an opposite signal(long) when the spreadsheet conditions were ok.

Hi,
I made a slow replay backtest, with the psar as trade signal. when a psar dot appears, a trade must be opened.
to really see why orders are not launched and many signals ignored, i opened the trade service log, and detached the chart from the spreadsheet to follow each walk of the process carefully.
I also had read the link you provided about the ignored signals. And i see that on the trade service log, there are false position quantity and false position with working orders quantity(-1 and -1). The problem is this is not true, because there is no launched orders as i began the replay backtest at this time.
You can find an attached file that prove that. You can see the chart, with the arrow indicating the normal orders entry bars for the buy and for the sell, the spreadsheet with 0 at position quantity and 0 at working orders quantity, and with the message of the trade service log.
This is why so many rders are not launched by the spreadsheet, but for me the reason is a non sense.

Help me please, Thanks

Do you see any trade signals from the Spreadsheet listed in Window >>Show/Hide Alerts Manager >> Alerts Log?

Hi,
On the Alerts log i only see the alerts for the orders that are taken, the ignored signals are not shown on the Alert log.

There appears to be something wrong and we need to determine exactly what the problem is. Whether there is a bug or not in Sierra Chart is not clear at this point in time.

Select Trade >>Clear Trade Simulation Orders & Data. See if you still noticed the problem after this.

There is still many missed trades:
See in the picture, the first green arrow up signals a buy, the trade has been taken(green circle zone), but the following sells orders are left. All the following orders are left(grey squares). The study settings are good(reversals and others).
I don't understand what's happening. Maybe a bug of sierra.

The question is whether you are getting a message in the Trade >>Trade Service Log indicating there is a position when there actually is not according to the Position Quantity on the Spreadsheet.

Post #7, and #8 do not provide any indication of this.

Would you be available sometime next week for a remote assistance session for us to look into this. We do not need any audio, just simply a Remote Desktop connection. Or if you want to send us your Chartbook and spreadsheet file we can do testing. They can be privately attached to this thread. Here are the instructions:

Having the same problem although fills show in "Trade Orders and Positions" no trade show in trade activity log. Orders show
Alert manager trades show correctly although i seem to ge getting multiple alerts in succession for some alerts ie got 3 alerts for one slow stocastic crossing over 20 at same time frame, 2
alerts for same true buy entry. Perhaps this is causing the problem?

Trade service log shows the following type message: | SellEntry signal is ignored because a Short position exists or working order quantities indicate a potential Short position, and Multiple Entries in Same Direction is not enabled.

clearing trade simulation and data does nothing.

I have spreadsheet set to default.

A replay indicates same ignore messages in the trade service log. Trading ES sim.

attached file

12:15 enabled "allow multiple trades in same direction" to see if that resolves the problem

And please do not post anything further about this in this thread. This thread is unrelated.

Hello sierra, the trades were missing due to the crossover inputs displacement set to -1, that made some orders not vaid because they were considered as row 4 and row3 was empty then.
Fixed for the moment!
thanks
