The Schaff Trend Cycle is one of (if not THE) most useful cycle studies I've come across in the past 20 years. It is included on several of the better known and well developed platforms (Tradestation, Think or Swim, Trading Technologies).

It was created by Doug Schaff at FX Strategy in 1999 and the code released in 2008.

There is a version in User Contributed Studies but I'm unsure of its origin and accuracy.

Attached are 2 pdf files. One is the EasyLanguage Code (the only format that it was released in to my knowledge). The other is the release document from FX Strategy that provides an interview and commentary with Doug Schaff regarding the indicator.

I'm sure your plate's full but this would be a solid addition to Sierra. The study code seems quite brief.

Thanks

(This is the indicator page from Trading Technologies for plot reference: https://library.tradingtechnologies.com/trade/chrt-ti-schaff-trend-cycle.html)

Possible to have SC Support Tom code and implement this for Sierra Chart users, in the main studies section?

Though it is not built by SC, there is a version in the User Contributed Studies. The name given to it is ScTC.
Here is the link to the thread.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my post. Not sure about the accuracy of that version.

It also does not contain the correct user inputs.

This study should be a no brainer as a native SierraChart indicator and far more useful than a lot of others that are already included.

NO to post #3

The version contemplated (and supported with core documentation and files) by the OP @cmet in post #1 is what is asked for.

Thank you.

I am almost finished. I am about to test the math and turn it in to Sierra Chart Engineering.
