First off, let me say that I think Sierra's spreadsheet capability is great. It's one of many reasons I choose to pay for Sierra in spite of owning a lifetime license for Ninjatrader 8. You people make a great product.

I was reading the help files on reversing the order of data in a spreadsheet here.
Spreadsheet Studies Special Tasks: Reversing The Order Of Chart Data In The Spreadsheet
and I noticed the comment at the end, "We plan to offer a feature in an upcoming version to reverse the order of the chart data outputted to a Spreadsheet." Not knowing how long ago that was written, I was just wondering if that feature is more likely to be a long way off or might it be something we see in the next 6 - 12 months or so? I've set up a spreadsheet to reverse the order of the data, but its extremely cumbersome with many columns full of formulas using INDIRECT and CONCATENATE functions. I'm looking forward to being able to manage this more efficiently.

Also, I'd like to put my vote in for the addition of COUNTIF and SUMIF spreadsheet functions. I can't use helper columns to accomplish this because I need to run a column of COUNTIFS against hundreds of values in a column of variables which changes in length on every bar update (ex. =COUNTIF(K:K,J3), =COUNTIF(K:K,J4),etc...)

Yes we do see that sentence about supporting reversed order of data but we think that we had complications with that. So that was abandoned. We have removed that sentence.

against hundreds of values in a column of variables which changes in length on every bar update (ex. =COUNTIF(K:K,J3), =COUNTIF(K:K,J4),etc...)
Do you mean the number of filled in rows within a column is changing?

Thanks for clearing up the question on reversing data.

Regarding your question, yes. The number of filled in rows in column N (see attached image) changes based on the value in column M. This allows me to cut/paste values in columns M - N into Excel where I can calculate the value area for ZigZag line length using the same approach Sierra uses to calculate TPO value area. That allows me to fill in the 2 blank statistics in column J. I'd like to do all the work in Sierra, but the lack of a COUNTIF function means that isn't currently an option.

I use this on a lot of different subraphs aside fomr zigzag data because viewing those highlih=ghted statistics helps me get a better sense of overall probabilities and "normal" ranges of values for that particular subgraph. I also examine this visually as a histogram in excel. It would be AWESOME if someday Sierra built a study that could generate a histogram and statistical summary based on a user-selected study and subgraph. This would be a huge timesaver for anyone building automated trading systems which are based on statistical probabilities.
