I've reviewed the documentation regarding the prerequisites for using features that depend on Number of Trades data in Sierra. I've worked on this issue extensively and have been unable to find a workaround. Simply; when a Volume by Price study is displayed on the same chart with a TPO Study, the number of trades function for the Volume Profile does not appear to work. It only displays the number of TPO's at the price on the profile, not the number of trades. Simply removing the TPO profile from the chart and leaving the Volume Profile unchanged will allow the Volume Profile to display the correct trade count for the price level. I've attached a chart book with two simple charts, one with and one without TPO added and an identical Volume Profile configured. Please let me know either what I'm doing wrong or if this can be fixed. Thanks, -david |

When you have a TPO study on the chart and you add a Volume by Price study, the VbP will automatically get set to match the information for the TPO. Thank you for the information. Let me state the question in another way to make sure I'm understanding. My goal is to have the "Number of Trades" data displayed on the VbP study next to the TPO profile, not independent from it. This shows the number of TPO's at the price level, not the "Number of Trades". http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1593378518567.png As you noted, if I make the VbP independent of the TPO and displayed on the right of the chart it does show the correct count. My goal is to display the correct count in the configuration shown in the image. Is the VbP study showing the TPO count instead of the "Number of Trades" as above expected behavior? |
