Hi Support board I am running the 1957 version because its the only one that Excel runs on, and its the main part of my trading strategy. This morning you locked it up so its not receiving data, can you please unlock it. Otherwise I will eventually have to stop using Sierra charts and find new software that uses Excel.

Hi Support you have accidentally switched off the data feed again to version 1957 (refer to previous posts 15th June 2020) I use this version so that I can run Microsoft Excel. Which is an essential part of my trading

Ah sorry I got confused there, I am referring post 1 and 2 , can you switch the data back on for version 1957 like you did before so I can use
Microsoft Excel. If you can't let me know asap so I can buy my own software.

For Transact, the following range of Sierra Chart versions is locked out:

1920 -> 1925
1942 -> 1996

So you can use the versions outside of the that range, and newer than 1892.

Hi Ox Both you and I know that the only version that Excel works on is version 1957 which is now locked out. (Locked out 1942 -> 1996 ) So can you turn the data back on for version 1957. Or have you got any other software/suggestions I can use with tick volume and Excel. If not I'll have to buy my own software and phase your service out.

Not sure why Transact is being mentioned here. It does not appear as though you are using that.

We are not aware of what would be causing this.

Tell us one symbol that is not updating and then post a copy of the message log:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:

Reconnect to the data feed:

Hi thanks for getting in touch I'll have to get back to you tomorrow as I am sorting out other problems, then I'll carry out the message log etc.
The symbol I always use is US30, I use your data (SC Data -All services (data) ) I don't know how Transact got into the conversation. Something I tried earlier was "edit and download data intraday chart" and when finished the latest date on the chart was 30th May 2019 , the chart was over 2yrs old !

The problem might relate to missing Symbol Settings. Do you see symbols in File >> Find Symbol?

Hi I Followed your instructions to update the Symbol Settings in post 17, and symbols window still remains empty. So I pressed the new button and entered the Dow symbol US30 manually and disconnected and reconnected still no joy. The latest date on chart still only showing 30th May 2019.

Hi have you got any ideas on how to solve my problem, is there any kind of software you know of that would get the US30 data out of Sierra charts into excel. I'm sure somebody must know how to do that. If I could do that I could continue to subscribe to Sierra charts, I must be your oldest customer.

Also, if you are just wanting to get the data out of Sierra Chart to Excel, then you can use one of two different methods:

Method 1: Export the data using either Edit >> Export Intraday Data to Text File or Edit >> Export Bar Data to Text File. Refer to the information here:
