I can't seem to get the attached order target and stops to work.

1. It dynamically generates the J80 and J81 prices.
2. J72 is set to SL
3. Use attached orders is checked
4. In the targets tab the Target and Stop are populating dynamically based on the J80/81 prices

Should L3 have something in it? If I set it to 1 it just sells immediately on the next bar.

Thanks.

My understanding is that J80 and J81 can be used to dynamically adjust limit and stop prices algorithmically. Is that not correct?

No that is definitely not correct. They only set the price offsets initially.

You can move them dynamically later by using the Trade Management by Study study, referencing a formula in a Formula Column/subgraph.

Back at it again and I still can't get these to work. I want to set the target limit and stop prices in J80 and J81. Do they need to be set before the trade is executed perhaps?

J80/J81 are the target/stop offsets, not the actual prices. And these offsets are in points not ticks.

Do they need to be set before the trade is executed perhaps?
Yes.

You don't have to use J80/J81 when using the Trade Management by Study study. You can set default offsets in a Trade Window config, and use two instances of the TMS study move them to the desired initial prices.

Thanks! If you set the entry using a market price, how can you know what the target/stop offset prices will be? They don't take offsets as I understand, only actual prices (even though it says offset???).

The offsets will be from the entry price, wherever that might be. So if there is slippage, the offsets will follow.
If you don't want the target/stop to follow any slippage, then you'll need to give the prices to the TMS studies to move them where you want.
You would calculate these prices in two Formula Columns, then reference those columns/subgraphs in the TMS studies.

J80/J81 are offsets from the entry price in points; the TMS needs actual prices.

Okay I’ll try that, but I thought the J80/81 were supposed to be prices, not offset values.

Thanks!
