[User Discussion] - Possible to draw a line from a hotkey?

In my perfect world, I could assign a hotkey which would place a horizontal line (optionally with whatever default alert configuration I want attached to it) at the current price (or maybe just above or just below) by hitting a hotkey, and then hit another hotkey to move that line up or down to place it exactly where I want it.

I'm trying to make everything as keystroke-centric as I can, I would ideally like to never touch the mouse except to do things like analyze reports and modify workspaces. But when trading, no mouse required, ever.

Is it at all possible to place and move a drawing by keyboard?

I can create a Chart Menu Item that places the line and then use a keyboard shortcut to trigger the chart menu item. Another menu item can move it up, and another down. Three KB shortcuts. Message me if you would like more information.

Hi guys, did you manage to solve this topic? I am also looking for a tool/configuration which would let me place a vertical line when an order is filled. Can you assist here somehow?? Thanks in advance!

With a custom study, a hotkey can place a line with an alert at the market or x ticks away, then another pair of hot keys can move it up or down. This is not supported on the DOM, only a chart. More than one line could be a problem, unless you only want to move the last line drawn with hotkeys. (The mouse could be used with previous alert lines.)

A vertical line can be drawn when an order is filled, that would work totally automatically without hot keys. Also a custom study.

PM me if interested.
