Trade Evaluator daily loss limit not working?

I created a realtime account on the Trade Evaluator service, and set it to a -100 loss limit and to lock when this is reached. But I am able to take losses of seemingly any size and the account is never locked from trading. Is there something required in order to enable the daily loss limit feature?

We are not aware of any problems with this but this functionality is going to be completely reimplemented and released over the next 2 weeks. So if that functionality is not working for you for unknown reasons, wait until about two weeks from now.

Hi again, just checking in to see if the various improvements you've been working on for the Trading Evaluator service, have gone live yet?

Still likely 10 days away.

On the delayed trade evaluator, we have updated Server 1 and Server 3 with the latest risk management functionality.

It has been completely reimplemented.

Am I correct that the live data simulator has not yet been updated with these features?

The real-time trade simulator is now up to date with the latest improvements. But it only has had limited testing.

OK, well if it helps to test it at all, as of yesterday the loss limits were still not working. They simply don't do anything at all, unless it's been updated since then.

Therefore, there must be some misunderstanding or some misconfiguration. There has never been a problem with this functionality. It has been tested and has always worked properly.

And for the record no one else has ever reported a problem with this.

OK well, how do I make it work then? Or how is it supposed to behave? My expectation is that if I fall below the loss limit (which is set as negative, like -200 for example) then I should not be able to trade further. But I am always able to trade as long as the balance contains enough. What am I missing?

Your account is not configured properly. What is the simulated account identifier you want this set for?

The account is called "TESTING". But really I'd like to be able to activate this feature on any account I want at any time.

We apologize for the delay. We did not mean to take so long. We just wanted to do some additional code review and another software update. Which we have now done.

You can manage all of your simulated accounts from here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServerManagedSimulationAccountSettings

We edited that account and we made sure that these options are on:
Flatten Positions At Daily Loss Limit:
Do Not Allow Increase In Positions At Daily Loss Limit:

And we also set the loss limit to -100. It was a lower unreasonable value. You can change that as needed.

Thanks I'll give it another shot. The stupidly low value was just for testing so I would instantly hit it.

So for the loss limit to work, do we need to enable the "do not allow position increase" option as well? Can't just have a loss limit without it?

For the Daily Loss Limit to work, at a minimum this needs to be enabled:

Yes and that was already enabled, as it is on the other accounts where the feature also has not been working. Feel free to look at the "CombineDiscipline" account. What is missing there that would cause the loss-limit feature to fail?

There is no trading activity on "CombineDiscipline". We looked back to July 10.

There is loads of activity, just not in the last week or so. Go back further and you will see plenty.

We are only concerned with the risk management functionality as of the current moment and going forward. So if you have any issue just let us know and probably we would have to do a remote assistance session with you so you can show us. But really there should just not be a problem.

OK the loss limit definitely works now, which is great! However, how does one adjust it? I bumped it from -100, to -200, and I still can't trade a few minutes later even though I'm only at -144 loss in the account currently.
