Hi There,

Having an issue with SC not saving a new chartbook, however, it does save the new spreadsheet created in the new chartbook.

The chartbook appears to be be saved, as when saved, the name it is saved with is shown in the chartbook tabs, but the file is not created in the SC data folder.
I verified the saving process, path and destination folder using File>Save As.

Strangely, the spreadsheet created with one of the studies in a chart within the chartbook is saved in the sc data folder when trying to save the chartbook.

The message log confirms the spreadsheet as saved but produces the following error for the chartbook file:

Error opening Chartbook file for writing. C:\SierraChart\Data\ar P/L.Cht Error: Windows error code 3: The system cannot find the path specified. | 2020-05-18 23:49:39.327

Please do not mark this post as user discussion as I requested help with this issue two days ago and I have not received any feedback (It was marked as user discussion by SC support)

Thank You

You cannot use characters in a Chartbook name which are not considered valid by the file system:

You simply have exceeded a reasonable amount of support time we can allocate based upon what is being paid. And there will not be further support from us for some time unless it is considered something that we see as necessary.

This thread is a good example of what should not be posted for SC Engineering. We would have thought it should be clear what are not valid characters in the Windows file system.
