Is it possible to have a text field in a Spreadsheet Study print on a chart? Sounds simple I must be missing something.

The short answer is no. The only thing that could be done is to plot a custom subgraph name at the current price, using this: Using the Spreadsheet Study: Using a Formula in Formula Columns Row 2 Despite its name, the Text Display for Study study will only display numerals.
