Hi there,

I have a problem between the countdown clock and some market I have in my watchlist.

Say for example that I have all chart set up on a 5min timeframe (it could be any TF though), all the charts create a new bar as soon as the countdown goes to 0. However, Soybean, Wheat, and Corn won't change to a new bar and the new bar will be created let's say when the countdown is at 2:54 (just to say a number).

I checked already the info on your page and you say something about the clock setting in the PC etc. However, it won't be the case because the time-setting is perfect and the other charts work perfectly as well.

Can you please help me out to understand why is that?

Thanks,
Fabio

New time-based bars are created when there are chart data updates at its expiration, but not necessarily when the time duration is fulfilled.

Even with Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings tab >> Include Columns With No Data checked, there won't be a new time-based bar unless there are new chart data. With this option checked, all time-based bars not displayed at their time duration will be back-plotted when new chart data are received.
Chart Settings: Include Columns With No Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Bar Settings menu)

With the 'Display Continuous Time Countdown Based on Real-Time Clock' set to Yes, you can force the Countdown Timer to use your system clock so it will complete its countdown at a bar's expiration even if a new bar is not yet drawn. There is no similar setting to force a new time-based bar to be drawn at it's expiration based on a real-time clock. New time-based bars are only drawn when there are new chart data.

The fact is no new bar of any type is drawn unless there are new chart data, but this is usually only noticed with time based bars in very slow or very thin markets.
