I have a very long formula, which I would like to replicate some 40 times. In each of the 40 iterations of the formula, there are about 12 references to column BS3, and I would like to change BS3 to something else, without changing each iteration 12 times. I remember Sierra Techs mentioning this was possible, but I do not remember how to do it. If you can help, that would save me a ton of time. Thank you! -GT Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-04-22 19:29:19

Why not just change what is within cell BS3?

I have created 40 different MA studies - So each study has a different column heading. I wanted to apply this formula to each MA - since the formula references the study's column heading at least 12 times, I would have to rewrite the column heading about 400 times. I'm not opposed to doing this, but I remembered (or dreamed) that Sierra had something to deal with this. I could have sworn that Sierra had this thing, where you could go into a formula, look up a sequence of characters, find all matching sequences in the formula, and then change that sequence (ie column heading) for all matching sequences in the formula. I may not be remembering things correctly, & if I'm not - It's no big deal if this isn't available. I'll just change it 1 by 1. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-04-22 21:25:30

I just wanted to double check - is this a feature of Spreadsheets? If so, could you link me?

There is not a Find and Replace function within Sierra Chart to do what you are stating.
