Can someone explain server side OCO and bracket orders ? Is it recommended I use that ? What are the benefits ?I’m using Advantage futures with SC order routing/Denali and I just don’t want to have an unprotected position if I lose connection for some reason.

Yes you definitively want to use server-side OCO and bracket orders. Refer to:

For what reason though ? Cause when I read all that , it sounds like Sierra charts is putting all the liability on my broker in the event of a connection issue. Is their a clear reason why I would prefer one over the other ?
As written here by you guys:
“ However, it is not always advantageous to use server side Bracket orders because the management of those orders on the server side by the external Trading service might not be exactly as you would expect as compared to when Sierra Chart is managing them.”

Long story short, i don’t want to have a bracket order filled (with stop loss and target )and lose internet connection and be without my stop loss in place .

That paragraph you quoted does not apply because you are using the Sierra Chart Order Routing service.

You will want to definitely enable server-side bracket orders to ensure they are going to continue to work when there is no Internet connection on your side:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Use Server Side Bracket Orders (if supported) (Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> General)
