When trying to upgrade to the new version, I can no longer access a custom study of mine that I have used for 7 years. The message reads " the advanced custom study C:/sierrachart/data/TRX_Osc.dll version is unsupported". On another chart it said it was likely missing a dependency file.

I don't know what's happened or how I get this study back. Please tell me how I can get this fixed.

What was your previous version of Sierrachart?
Is your study / library 64-bit?

Probably...You need to get the source code for that study and recompile it on the current version.

I'm not a computer programmer, so I don't know if I have the source code or not. I have some files on my computer that might be it, but I don't know. Even if I do, I wouldn't know what to do with them. All I know is that for 8 years, numerous different computers, numerous Sierra upgrades and version changes, I have been able to transfer this study. Now, in an instant, it's gone. If there's nothing you can do to help me, then refund my money, as I will have no tools to trade with any longer.

Hi, I am not support. :) I'm the same user as you. Support has not answered your question at all in the past.

The message reads " the advanced custom study C:/sierrachart/data/TRX_Osc.dll version is unsupported". On another chart it said it was likely missing a dependency file.
There are two possible reasons why that no longer works.
1) You have a library created for a 32-bit version and you are currently using a 64-bit version of Sierrachart

2) You have a very old library and the newer version of Sierrachart no longer supports some of the commands used in your library / study.

Step by step:

Look in Menu / Help / About

What version of Sierrachart do you have (number)? 32-bit or 64-bit?

The 32-bit version of the Sierra Charter is still maintained. You may have just run the 64-bit version. (Your study will be 32-bit if you use it for 7 years without change.)
The easiest way would be to contact the developer of the study (I assume that a third party ... not directly Sierra). If this is not possible then the next step will be to find out if you have the source file in your PC(If "Yes" then it would be possible to recompile the library for a newer version of Sierrachart and for 64-bit mode). The source file has a .cpp extension.

If you can't find the file or don't want to try this procedure at all, you can simply try downgrading Sierrachart to a lower version.
Advance how to do it can be found here:
