Hello Sierra Chart support team,

I have been using Sierra Chart for about a year and I must say that I am really happy with the feature set, and am learning more and more each day!

I would like to be able to select a number of price bars on a chart and combine them into one price bar, similar to the feature in Market Profile (TPO Profile Chart) where I can combine profiles into one big profile in any way I wish, as well as split individual profiles into smaller profiles. But for price bars on a chart - so I can take a few bars from my marked out range, combine them and give the open, close, high and low for that range. I tried using custom time scales, bars based on volume, but none offer the convenience of being able to combine a custom number of bars (not all bracketing periods last a fixed duration!).

In the same request, if that feature can be added, then it would be nice if studies can report on a per bar basis (for example if volume study is added to a daily chart and I combine 3 days into 1 bar, then the volume for that bar should be the average volume for those 3 days). Consideration would be options for mode, median or mean when combining bars, more options for everyone.

Would love to hear if this is possible!

Thank you,
Benjamin

This is not anything we would have time for, but it could be done using ACSIL. It would require a custom chart:
ACSIL Interface Members - Variables and Arrays: sc.IsCustomChart
Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level
