A Plea - from a Staunch Rithmic Customer

I sincerely request you reconsider your decision to end Rithmic integration for future SC iterations.
I have used Rithmic for several years.
The only problem I have ever experienced was with the third party integration with SC.
I have never had a poor experience with Rithmic while utilizing their native platform R Trader, ever. I always utilize R Trader simultaneously with SC, always.
Let us all be honest.
Rithmic is a Data Company. They are the leader by a marked distance in their niche. They have invested vast sums to become, and maintain their position as, a premier data provider. A long list of intelligent and capable organizations have chosen to partner with Rithmic.
Rithmic is not a platform company. This is very evident with the R Trader platform. It is a meager offering and has no value when positioned against SC, and other platform companies such as MultiCharts.
Moreover, there is no platform company that has a data offering that can rival Rithmic, period.
I acknowledge that SC has desires to construct a data offering to rival Rithmic. However, SC has much to invest to position itself as a true competitor to Rithmic.
Let us be honest.
SC is a Platform Company. It is the best I have ever used. I would not consider utilizing a different platform. SC has invested vast sums to become, and maintain their position as, a premier platform provider. As stated by another user in a different post, I do not know where I would be without the discovery of SC.
I am very loyal to the company offerings I choose. This could not be more true with those products and services I utilize to generate revenue.
I am sorely disappointed to learn what is now a final decision for SC to end Rithmic integration for near future iterations. I could not be more disappointed.
I fully support competition in the marketplace. However, a company must be cautious to only declare its position as a competitor when it truly is.
It is disconcerting that a company of the stature of SC attempts to besmirch Rithmic. The only substantiated problem SC has with Rithmic is the SC/Rithmic integration relationship with the SC platform.
The SC decision to end integration will alienate very loyal customers.
Wisdom supports partnering with an entity that is a specialist. That is what "The Richest Man in Babylon" is based upon.
Rithmic is a data specialist. SC is a platform specialist.
I sincerely ask SC to reverse its decision to end integration of Rithmic.

I've heard that Rithmic data *support* is ending, but I thought they will continue to enable access for rithmic data feeds. Is sierra completely disabling rithmic data access?? This breaks my live Oneup account completely as they trade only via Rithmic

In regards to One Up trader, we already have discussed this with them and they have indicated they are open to supporting our simulated trading environment. So we do expect that will happen and we are allowing until the end of this year to develop any areas of functionality where we need to, in order to replace Rithmic. There are some risk-management items they require, and we estimate about maybe two days of development time for those. It is quite easy.
Rithmic is a Data CompanyRithmic is doing several things. They are providing a low latency trading gateway to exchanges, risk management, and market data. They provide a fully hosted solution to FCMs. It is just not data.
So it is not clear to us, as to what your technical requirements are that are not being met by our other supported services, that you get from Rithmic. If it is strictly about "Data", your position cannot be valid.
Sierra Chart already has excellent proven market data feeds. If you test our Denali Exchange Data Feed, you will find this works very well and better than Rithmic. So it is best to test and we will give that to you free next month, and then you can see. Information:
Let us know if you want us to set you up with the Denali exchange data feed for next month.
Also Rithmic support will remain until the end of the year.

You miss the point.
I know what Rithmic offers.
My statements are valid because I choose to partner with Rithmic versus any other market data company. I chose Rithmic before I chose SC. I discovered Rithmic, then I searched for a platform that will allow me to utilize their infrastructure. That is how I chose to trial SC. I then chose to partner with SC.
You have yet to validate your decision to end integration with Rithmic.
As I have stated, your negative statements regarding Rithmic hinge on the SC platform integration with Rithmic infrastructure, nothing more.
Other SC customers share my sentiments. Multiple posts on this subject verify this.
It is a poor decision to end integration with Rithmic. You have stated repeatedly that this will occur in the next several months. That is irrelevant because the results of the decision are in the near future.
Denali is not better than Rithmic. Due to SC programming decisions, Denali is better integrated with SC, period.
You have already chosen to end Rithmic support. No other measures are warranted. Let well enough alone.
You should continue Rithmic integration indefinitely.

I am also quite interested in Sierra Chart being compatible with the funding evaluators (I have my own preference among them, but would be open to switching if SC had integration with a different one, or preferably more than one). My only reason for being disappointed about SC dropping Rithmic support was for the funding evaluators, so if there is way to work with at least some of them without Rithmic then that would be just fine for me.
I am a large proponent of SC and was dreading having to use NT for order placement while still doing my analysis in SC.
