I like to trade without wicks, but often it is so difficult to right click and add an order accurately because the bars jump up and down erratically. When price slows down, the problem goes away. I'm using SC in wine, I don't know if that is an issue. Or a setting in the charts (I have various range settings)

You won't see it from a screenshot. May I provide a screencast?

Hi

Start watching after 0.58 and watch the right hand margin (as well as all of the visible bars) jumping as the bars move into new blank territory.

I have tried experimenting with different scale ranges, but to no avail.

Many thanks

This is definitely related to your Scale settings. How exactly do you want your chart to behave and we will tell you what Scale Settings to use.

Very kind of you. I just want wickless candles that are less jumpy.

Many thanks

It is really best if you can tell us how you want your chart to behave and then we can point you to the proper settings for the scale.

But, one setup that we think may work best for you is the following:
- In the Price Scale right-click with your pointer and select Scale Settings
- Select Constant Range
- Select Re-Center when the Last Bar Exceeds a Certain Number of Ticks from the Center for the Constant Range Scale Mode
- Select OK

You may need to adjust your scaling to ensure that your bars are correctly on the screen when you first do this setup.

You will find more information on these settings here:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Scale Range (Scale Settings)
