SC support. Does having the Denali data feed make sense if TransAct is consistently dropping connects? In other words, what happens with the order routing/execution portion? Is it just best to dump TransAct all together? This is all confusing to me Please Advice.

It certainly does help using the Denali data feed but if the connection to the orders server is lost it would interrupt the data feed for two seconds once the orders connection comes back. However, we do not think you are going to have frequent disconnections for the orders connection.

Really what we need to do in the case of Transact is add an option to not connect to the price server. So in that way we think the problem would be solved by using the Denali data feed. We will make a note to do that and try to get done in the next few days.

Okay once you do that, I will subscribe to the Denali data feed. One last question. I currently have orders open with TransAct. How will that be affected if I were to switch?

Those orders will not be affected. You will still keep Sierra Chart connected Transact but just the market data connection would be disabled.

The latest version 2057 now supports disabling the Transact data feed. There is an option for this in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings.
