I have several charts which have the following link options: Bar Period, Scroll Position, Days to Load, Bar Spacing, and Master Mode. These charts all use a volume-based, back-adjusted continuous contract setting. Chart X has the same link number and the following options enabled: Bar Period, Scroll Position, Days to Load, Bar Spacing. This chart uses a date-based, back-adjusted continuous contract setting. When I change some setting on Chart X, the other charts reload and now have the date-based back-adjusted continuous contract setting, whereas before they had the volume-based continuous contract setting. I wouldn't think this would be the case, as none of the above options even says anything about session times. Is this a bug, or expected? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-02-12 22:46:20

The setting for the Continuous Contract is controlled by the Bar Period link option. Since you have that set for the charts, it will change the Continuous Contract setting. We have updated the documentation to reflect this in the Bar Period section here: Chart Settings: Chart Linking (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Linking menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
