Daily Bars on a weekly chart

Trying to start with a weekly price bar chart and draw stair step pivot bands around the price bars. No problem, done it. Now I am trying to expand the chart and replace the weekly price bars with daily bars. Cant figure out how. I have tried this- Set weekly price bars to "blank" and they disappear and leave the weekly pivot bands in place which I want. Now how to place the daily price bars where the weekly price bars were? Made a new separate daily chart and used Overlay - Non sync. No luck, Daily bars appear but are spaced as the old weekly bars were, 1 per week instead of 5 per week which I need. Basically how can I change the horizontal time scale of just the price bars and leave the weekly pivot bands as is. Thoughts? Thanks SL Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-01-05 18:37:04

Open both a Daily and Weekly chart for the particular symbol you want. Great, thanks For anyone who may read this someday.. I also had to set the displacement of the study at 2 to get the weekly study to line up with the daily price bars. |
