This morning I am receiving the "Connect event error. Windows error code 10060" even though I have not received this error message before and no changes made to my chartbooks. SC is allowed under both the firewall and antivirus, and the error message continues to occur even if both the firewall and antivirus are disabled.

We have been told this:


We have been working with our internet provider to resolve this issue. Our provide is Verizon and they are having issues in Chicago area. We have a ticket open to Tier 3 and are waiting for a response. We will keep you posted as we get more information. The internet has been up and down since 1am last night.

In case anyone passes through, I fixed it on my end by uninstalling and reinstalling onto the default hard drive.

The problem was not Sierra Chart. It does not need to be reinstalled. The issue would have been with a firewall on your system or some other software interfering with connections.
