To my knowledge, there is no way to access historical market depth data unless I am storing it in real time. Is there a way to access historical market depth data during a time when I was not connected to a data feed? If not, do you plan on adding this feature in the future?

You are correct, you have to stay connected in order to store the Market Depth data as it is coming in. We do plan on having historical Market Depth data available sometime within the next year, although we can't make any commitments as to exactly when.
