Right now have only one SC instance subscribed to the SC data feed for about 6 unique symbols on CME (only ES at the moment) and Eurex (the remaining 5 symbols)

The ST param in SC however is 24 even after i disconnected and reconnected the SC instance to the SC data feed ...

Secondly, today around midday (UK time) i found the SC instance in question in a blocked state in terms of receiving any data from the SC data feed. It resumed receiving data AFTER i disconnected and re-connected the SC instance manually / explicitly

You can see all of the symbols subscribed to in the Window >> Message Log. Check in that log.

If you have a problem again, we need to understand this better. We would need to see the Message Log at the time. It does not really make sense that when connected the data would just stop. Unless we see the Message Log we do not know what the problem was. Unless Barchart made some authorization change and perhaps when you reconnected you are using a different account that had different authorizations. That would be the best explanation.

hmm lets take in its logical order and in a structured way to make the above more clear:

1. What is the current function of ST and has it being discontinued as a very convenient front panel indicator of the number of the currently subscribed symbols

2. For what sounds as the "new" recommended way to find out the same as the above "Window >> Message Log" - i have tested that and could NOT see a Message Type containing the TOTAL Number of the Currently Subscribed Symbols

2.1 Provide the Message Type/Header/Prefix of the message supposed to contain the TOTAL number of the currently subscribed symbols

2.2 Spare my sanity and dont tell me that based on the "new recommended method" the user is supposed to count manually every symbol subscription message in the log so they can obtain the TOTAL ....
