Hi.

I have a question regarding distribution of scaled in orders on the take profit targets.

If for example I'm using a bracket order which fills 2 orders and has 2 take profit targets which close one order each. If I scale in more orders before the targets are hit, the added orders (+1 original order) are by default closed at the first take profit level and then the 1 original bracket order is closed at TP 2

Is there a way to change this default so that for example 50% of orders are closed at TP 1 and 50% at TP 2? so if for example I filled the bracket and then another 8 orders are scaled in, totalling 10 orders, the first TP would close 5 orders and second 5 orders, by default.

Thanks
S

Would need that too but currently not possible. You can only set to first or last target for scale-in.

We would have to add the capability to evenly distribute the scaled in orders among the existing Target and Stop orders.

Thank you. This functionality for scales is needed.

Scaling is so important for risk mgmt that I'm sure a lot of users would benefit from an evenly distribute scale in to their targets/stops.

I agree this is a very important feature, currently not considering targets/stops means manual intervention which is not ideal for automated trading

We are putting out 2066 with support for the Even Distribution method for scale out. We will be working on scale in the next few days. That is more involved.

Could you enhance this to allow the trader to easily adjust the distribution of the orders after scaling in, ie move some from one order to another and vice versa?

You just have to manually change the order quantities after the automatic adjustment. There is no other way to do it.

Hi SC.

I just upgraded from 2028 to the 2073 and have an issue with scaling in and out.

I read in this thread you worked on some new scaling in functionality so I thought to add it in here.

I ran the same test and found out the issue started at version 2067 and higher.

I have a chart with no indicators. An attached trade window set to use ScalingIn and ScalingOut. An attached stop order configured. No target. Quantity set to 1. When I use the buy MKT button to enter the stop order Quantity does not increases with the positionsize.

When a target is set as well as a stop the scaling works fine.

Can you have a look?

Thanks.

Frederik

Hi SC,

Just upgraded from 2065 to 2074.

I have the same issue as described in post #13 with scaling in and out with only attached stop order and no target.

I use that function a lot.

Can you fix it?

Thanks,

Paul

I'm experiencing this also, was about to post a new request:
----
I just upgraded to 2073, I have the following configuration (which I didn't change after upgrading, it's the same as before):

From trade menu -> M -> Orders -> Support Scale Out is checked
From trade menu -> M -> Orders -> Support Scale IN is NOT checked
SimpleBracket
- TargetAll = 20T
- Stop = 6t
Use Attached Orders is checked

What is happening:
If, for example, I short one contract a stop is placed at 6t, a target at 20t. However, if I buy to exit at +10t the stop and target orders are no longer being cancelled like they used to. On sim I just left them to see what would happen and when the target (that should have been cancelled) was hit it did buy.

Same issue here.

I have a stop order and scale in and out enabled. When I scale in buy mkt orders I only get 1 stop order. On version 2075

Thanks

The issue with Scale In not increasing a single Attached Order, will be resolved in the next release.

If, for example, I short one contract a stop is placed at 6t, a target at 20t. However, if I buy to exit at +10t the stop and target orders are no longer being cancelled like they used to.
This we are not able to reproduce. We want you to wait until the next release and then test again and if there still is a problem start a new Support Request.
