Dear support,

I'm using two studies for XBTUSD, one TPO study and one volume by price study. I do each study on a different intraday chart but in the same chartbook. I notice a difference between the VVH, VVL, and VPOC values between these studies.

For example:

In the TPO chart the prev day close values for XBTUSD 18 October 2019 are: VVH: 7957.5, VVL: 7867.5, VPOC: 7905.

In the volume by price chart the prev day close values for XBTUSD on 19 October 2019 are VVH:7963.5, VVL: 7872, VPOC 7900.

I looked at my settings for both charts but they seem pretty similar. Both use 70% area to determine the volume value areas. Both set to 1 day fixed time. Volume by Price study I set "Ticks per Volume Bar" to 1 tick.

Any idea why there is a difference between the studies? Hope to hear from you.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

C

VBP and TPO are formed using completely different input data, there is no reason to assume that they will exactly match in any of the following: VPOC, Value Area or Distribution/Profile Shape.

And, of course, the 346 page bible of MP from the CBOT:
