I am set up with my FCM to use CQG FIX Trading. Both the following DTS options were pull-down options in Build 1997:

- CQG FIX Trading [trading]
- CQG WebAPI [trading]

When updating Sierra to Build 1999 the former option seems to have disappeared leaving only the latter option which became the default. It caused me a login problem/error message such that I had to revert back to Build 1997. Can this be fixed?

Yes we need to put out a notice about this. CQG FIX is in the process of being discontinued and this has already been discussed with CQG. In newer versions it is not available and will be formally discontinued for all users effective January 2020.

Can you ask your broker to allow you access to the CQG Web API. For now just stay on an earlier version.

I could ask my broker to change me to CQG WebAPI but to be honest I'm of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality. I don't use CQG for data. I use Sierra's datafeed. So I haven't experienced any of the disconnects that others complain of. For just execution purposes CQG FIX has always been very reliable for me. Hence my disappointment that its being dropped. Even if Sierra no longer supports it, I don't see why it would need to be removed as a user choice.

Please maintain CQG's FIX connection. I and a couple of my friends are reliant on it and isn't it still the industry standard? Also, my broker charges me half the per car per side routing fee for FIX versus WebAPI.

In regards to CQG, refer to:
Sierra Chart Does Not Recommend CQG (Various Reasons)

And in regards to the per contract fee, CQG can do whatever they want with pricing. There is no reason why they cannot do the same price when using the CQG Web API. This makes no technical sense. This is all a matter of negotiation with CQG between the clearing firms and CQG.

It looks like Build 1997 is the last build with CQG FIX as an option for users. Until such time as the direct routing solution is implemented I would ask that Sierra keep the option of CQG FIX otherwise I'll be staying at Build 1997 and missing out on newer features. Just because some users have had a problem doesn't mean that all users have. Particularly those of us who use Sierra's datafeed not CQG's. It's not a user focus to force happy customers into a solution they don't want.
