How can I set my chart so that I keep market depth. If I have a chart open for a few hours and then close it and reopen it I loose all my depth information.

I notice that I have a folder called Market depth data on my C drive so The information is there just not on my chart.

Is it possible to download historical market depth data for a day I did not have my machine on.

One final question. I have a heatmap on my chart. When I go to draw a rectangle using the drawing tools it dissapears behind the heatmap. Is there a setting to have drawing always on top?

Thanks

Additionally, the Market Depth data is only available while connected to the data feed. There is no historical depth data available. Therefore, you must stay connected in order to have as much data as possible. Refer to the following to help ensure that you get as much data as possible:

Second, make sure that the following setting which controls how drawings are placed relative to studies, is unchecked.
Chart Settings: Draw Highlight Drawings Underneath Main Graph and Studies (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu)

Also be aware of the setting just above it for other drawing types (rectangles, triangles and ellipses are Highlight drawings).

Ok I understand that I only receive market depth data whilst I am connected. SC stores this data locally on my PC. It displays nicely on my heat map, however if I close the chart and imediatly reopen it I loose all the depth data. Surly it should reload what has been downloaded and stored. Im pretty sure this used to be the case but it does not work now. Please can you help.

Be sure to refer to post #2 above.

Recorded market depth data simply cannot be lost by restarting Sierra Chart. That just simply does not happen. If there is any problem with viewing historical market depth data, refer to:
