Inconsistent behavior of AddAdditionalSymbol

(refer to attached screen grab)

Sometimes AddAdditionalSymbol does what I think it SHOULD do: The line on the chart stops when the data stops. Examples in screen grab are K9-M9, M9-N9, and N9-Q9.

But other times, the same study with the exact same configuration parameters will display a horizontal line all the way to the right edge of the chart, even though there is no data for that period because the symbol expired. (Ex: Q9-U9, U9-V9)

The different behavior is not because of different study settings. I checked that.

My strong opinion is that the first way (stop displaying the line where the data stops) is much "better". But the results are inconsistent and unpredictable so far as I can tell.

Is there a way to get consistent behavior, where it always works the way the blue, white and light green series are shown on this sample?

Thanks!

You will not get the line if you have the Fill Blanks with Last Value Input with the Add Additional Symbol study set to No. We have verified this.
