I have been using Amibroker to trade on NSE through IB Account. It is a C++ powerful and yet simple application. Almost every data vendor provides datafeed to Amibroker including robust data providers like esignal. However, IB Controller , which is a trading bridge between AmiBroker and IB, has some basic deficiencies and dearth of current features. Attempt to get custom development has long term implications of versioning and updating from freelancers.

I have taken subscription of Sierra Chart recently. Realtime datafeed for NSE is not currently available in Sierra Chart. Therefore, analysis and charting in live markets is constrained. Sierra Chart has excellent order management features. As an alternative and interim arrangement (until sierra chart has a NSE data provider), I am considering to do analysis and generate order triggers from Amibroker and save them to a csv file, provided Sierra Chart can read orders from such csv file live and manage the trades.

Alternately, can SC give access to spreadsheets to write 1s and Os in the BuyEntry, BuyExit, SellEntry, SellExit columns directly from amibroker during live markets while rest of the of the trade parameters like attached orders, stop-loss, quantity etc are preset in the settings for Spreadsheet System Trading study ? Considering this as a stop gap arrangement is also a good idea for many Indian customers wanting to use Sierra Chart!

You have got to be kidding us calling esignal a robust data provider. Who uses that anymore.

Global Data Feeds, who provides NSE data, has told us they are going to be starting on an implementation of a DTC protocol server. So that is one short-term solution. How quickly it will be available we do not know.

As far as your suggestions, those are not things that we would develop because we do not consider them reliable and we do not have the time for them anyway.
