I've noticed that when I use Sierra Chart on two different computers, for a given order, the Internal Order ID on one computer is different from the Internal Order ID on the other computer for the same order. How can I transfer the Internal Order ID's from one computer to the other? I suspect it involves moving the InternalOrderID.data file in the SierraChart folder from one computer to the other, but I tried exactly that and it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The internal order IDs will be different. It is really going to be difficult to try to keep them synchronized and there is no need to.

I understand if it’s difficult, I can try to figure it out myself if I need to, could you please point me in the right direction?

The InternalOrderID2.data file, does contain the internal order ID used on start up of the program. So you could transfer that file to your other installation. Make sure Sierra Chart is not running when you do that.

Thank you, I just tried that and the open orders remained the same. Interestingly, the filled orders did match on both platforms. When I first open Sierra Chart, the open orders are there immediately in yellow, and after a couple seconds the filled orders appear in blue. Maybe a different file needs to be moved as well?

Update - I just tried moving the TradeOrdersList.data file as well. When I first open Sierra Chart, the open orders are there immediately in yellow, and this time the Internal Order ID was correct! But only for a couple seconds, then the filled orders appear in blue and the open order is marked as cancelled and turns blue. When I restart Sierra Chart, the open order is shown once again as open (yellow), not cancelled, but its Internal Order ID has changed and is no longer correct.

Are these simulated or non-simulated orders you are referring to above?

Non-simulated. I've come up with a make-shift solution, however, so you can consider this resolved.

Ok therefore the reason the orders just get marked as canceled is because there has been no update for them from the external service.
