Hello

I just installed 2 fresh copies of SC in separate folders. Let's name the 1st SC1 and the 2nd SC2.

On SC1 I use SC Data - All Services and on SC2 I use a CTS demo account which uses additional datafeeds.

I want a sub instance in SC2 so the sub instance can use the CTS datafeed.

If I open SC2 first, let the sub-instance load up and then open SC1, everything works fine.

Now here it gets weird.

If I open SC1 first (SC Data - All Services) and then SC2, SC2 works fine but the subinstance of SC2 uses the SC Data - all services feed of SC1 and I cannot use it to load charts from the CTS datafeed. Also if I click File-> Disconnect on the sub instance of SC2, the change is updated in the message log of SC1 and not SC2. When I reconnect I still have access only on SC - All Data.

If I open SC2 first, let the subinstance load up and then open SC1 and then disconnect the subinstance then the change is updated correctly in SC2.

Is there a solution to this so I don't have to always have SC1 closed if I want to open SC2?

Thanks

Yes, there is a fix to this. Follow through the instructions in this section of the documentation:
Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Resolving DTC Protocol Server Port Number Conflicts

In your particular case, you need to use different port numbers for the DTC servers in each main instance.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
