My open position entry point continuously gets moved to an incorrect value once a day approx. I have read on the board about clear the trading activity log in order to correct this. Whilst this does indeed work to rectify the issue temporarily it keeps on reoccurring and am required to clear the log over and over again from day to day. Is there a way to avoid this so that sierra doesnt try to follow trades internally and instead just gets the position data from api connection. It is quite frustrating to have to keep clearing the trade log to regain an accurately displayed position

I have read on the board about clear the trading activity log in order to correct this. This is old and outdated information. Refer to the documentation here about Position Average Price: Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used And what you are seeing is unlikely to be inaccurate. Instead you just need to understand what the method of calculation is for the position average price. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
