TPO Profile Chart Feedback/Suggestion

Many Market Profile traders make extensive use of merged profiles, so I wanted to submit a few suggestions for improvements to the TPO Profile Chart study which would help emphasize information from merged profiles. Sierra is a great platform, and I think this combination of changes would open up a whole new level in depth of functionality for users of your TPO Profile Chart study.

1. Add 3 new inputs:
a.  “Extend Value Area For Merged Profiles Only” (Yes/No) – This input would modify the state of Input 14 (Extend Value Area) to have it completely ignore non-merged profiles when the user selects “Yes”.
b.  “Extend TPO Point of Control For Merged Profiles Only” (Yes/No) - This input would modify the state of Input 15 (Extend TPO Point of Control) to have it completely ignore non-merged profiles when the user selects “Yes”.
c.  “Extend Singles For Merged Profiles Only (Yes/No)” - This input would modify the state of Input 46 (Extend Singles) to have it completely ignore non-merged profiles when the user selects “Yes”.

2. Inputs 14, 15, and 46 currently list the options of “None, End of Period, End of Window, Until Future Intersection”. I suggest adding the option of “Until Future Intersection With A Merged Profile”. Used in conjunction with the modifications listed in item 1, this would enable traders to see information relative to significant areas of market interaction without interference from single session TPO data.

3. I also suggest adding an input to define a minimum threshold for what constitutes an intersection that would cut off extension lines for inputs 14, 15, and 46. Maybe something like:
a.  Any price intersection will cut off extension lines. (current behavior)
b.  Intersection with a minimum width of 2 TPO Letter/Blocks will cut off extension lines.
c.  Intersection with a minimum width of 3 TPO Letter/Blocks will cut off extension lines.

4. Add an option to display the number of sessions in a profile for inputs 115 – 118 (Chart Value
To Be Displayed On Profile/Screen). Alternatively, the number of subperiods in a profile would suffice if the first option is impractical.

It is not likely we will have a chance to look this over until sometime next year.

Are you still interested in these. We can look at doing these for an additional cost. Would be at 75 USD per hour.

And we know we are coming back more than a year later asking this, but this is not unusual because we have a long queue of development tasks which goes back years.

Thanks for coming back to this. I came up with my own workaround, so I don't need to do anything further. For what it's worth, I do still think they'd be good enhancements to Sierra for Market Profile users at some point though.

And we know we are coming back more than a year later asking this

I'm not bothered in the slightest by the timing of your response. I know you folks are busy doing great stuff with Sierra all the time, and my feedback it just one frop in a very large bucket.
