Charts for YM-201312-CBOT are frozen?

Hello Support, Yesterday I was able to view charts and trade the symbol YM-201312-CBOT[M], but today they are frozen. I am able to open charts for symbol YM-201312-CME[M] and those charts are streaming data but I am not able to enter orders from my SC platform, I get the error message that the symbol is incorrect. I have no problem viewing charts and entering orders for the symbol NQ-201312-CME[M] Please suggest what I am doing wrong, Thanks |

We can see you are on version 1058. You need to be on this version or higher. Update the symbol settings as explained here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings After that reconnect to the data feed with File >> Disconnect and File >> Connect to Data Feed. Hello support, Followed those instructions "Update Global Symbol Settings" with no success. I tried both the first and the alternative suggested instruction and also closed SC and restarted each time. Prior to the NY close the symbol YM-201312-CME[M] was updating but the symbol YM-201312-CBOT[M] was not updating and appeared frozen although all other aspects of the chart were fully functional. Since market is closed now I am not able to further test. Please advise? Thanks |

Checking on this. We think it has to do with having charts open for both YM-201312-CME and YM-201312-CBOT. We are going to run a test. Yes, my broker Howard Lender of Deep Discount Trading initially suggested that I delete all YM charts and then add back only the CBOT charts. I did this but the CBOT charts were still not updating.

For now you will need to go through each of your YM charts including the Daily charts and go to Chart >> Chart Settings and change CME to CBOT in the Symbol. This would mean that you still have a YM chart open that uses the CME exchange. Check all of the open charts that you have. You can do that through Window >> Windows and Chartbooks. As long as you do not have a YM chart with the CME exchange, you will get data. We have tested this and see this works. The problem is not with the new Sierra Chart data feed itself. The problem is a conflict between the CME am the CBOT Exchange code for the YM symbol. We should have a permanent solution out by the end of the day today. The problem is all resolved now. Update to version 1059 and perform a full reset of the symbol settings as explained here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings You will need to disable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Use CME Gateway for CBOT Symbols. Make sure that all of your YM charts are using CBOT. After all of this, then reconnect to the data feed if you were already connected.
