I tried to apply settings to trade the mini WTI using the signal of the full WTI i.e. CLQ9, but I can't find the right combination, for mini Dax I did it and it works fine, so can you please tell me which are the values I should change under:
Global Settings / Symbol Settings / CL?# set
Price Display Format =
Tick Size =
Currency Value Per Tick =
I will keep QMQ9 settings at default values

In chart settings
I set chart to CLQ9 and Trade and Current Quote Symbol to QMQ9
and Use Trade Only Symbol unticked.
thx
Alberto

There is no need to change anything in the Global Symbol Settings and we do not recommend that.

In the Chart Settings, set the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to QMQ9.

Also in the Chart Settings use the following settings:
Price Display Format = .001
Tick Size = .025
Currency Value Per Tick = 12.5

But these settings can cause a problem for studies like the Numbers Bars study. So there is not a perfect solution here.

Thx for reply anyway I'm confused about your answer now, I mean you say "There is no need to change anything in the Global Symbol Settings and we do not recommend that" but if I just insert QMQ9 in trade and current quote symbol no order will be sent to market when the price setted of the CLQ9 is reached, and this is the reason I open my supproto request.

On the other side you said to change the parameters but this change could affect the "number bars study", so the functionality to trade the mini using the full futures is it fully supported and validated or not?
thx

Not if you are using the Numbers Bars study from the chart you are trading from. Based on the difference in these parameters between the two symbols.

but if I just insert QMQ9 in trade and current quote symbol no order will be sent to market when the price setted of the CLQ9 is reached,
We do not know why this is the case. Is the order getting rejected? Check the Trade >> Trade Service Log. Is the order getting submitted?

Hi the order is sent as CL and not as QM as you can see from trade log, while chart settings is ok as QMQ9 and the trading system is doing is job entering the order. The same it happened to me for Mini dax then I changed the parameters and it works, but now you are saying that could be affect the number bars study that is the main study that I use to trade so before to change the setting I asked your opinion.
thx

The Trade Activity Log is showing the symbol as QM.

There should definitely not be any problem with this anyway as long as you have set the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to what you want to trade.

Sorry but if you look into the activity log you will see that the symbol that is traded is the CL since the Qm cannot execute that prices there will never be possible to have a 58.03 simply because the QMQ9 is 58.25 or 58.00 or 58.125 because that is the the tick size.
So in fact the trading activity it is showing a trade calling it QM but it is a trade on CL full contract.I "need" the chart to execute the QMQ9 based on CL signal.

If the symbol you see in the Trade Activity Log is for QM, that is the actual symbol traded. Do not think otherwise because that is just not the case at all. To be clear you are not trading CL.

And you need to adjust the Tick size appropriately in the chart for that symbol.

Charting CL with Trade and Current Quote Symbol set to QM.
Bid and Ask prices do not populate on chart DOM, orders do not appear on the chart.
Tried altering Chart Settings as described in #2, but did not rectify.
System works perfectly when charting FDAX trading FDXM and charting ES trading MES.
Please advise.

Most likely this is because QM uses a different real-time data multiplier as compared to CL. We intend to implement support for a different multiplier for the Trade symbol but it is very complicated. We would not think it would be done until later in the year.
