Today I have looked at the my trade activity log and all trades for last week displays a "maximum open loss" of 0! Is there any option that I have inadvertently selected to get this?

Refer to this section here about this:
Trade Activity Log: Notes about Maximum Profit and Loss Fields

You need to look at the High and Low During Position fields for the individual order fills.

Sorry I do not understand.
Please see the image of a trade and the corresponding trade activity log record taken this week. The trade went against me by 2.5 points before I got out of my 3 contracts however, both fields: "FlatToFlat Max Open Loss (T)" and "Max Open Loss (T)" are shown as zero.

The above is the same with all my winners.

The trades taken before 19th of June seems to be OK. I might have updated SC last weekend to the latest released version or changed some of the settings I have also rolled over the chart to the new expiration date.

Regards

I have this problem as well. High and Low price during the trade are there, so I see no reason why the calculation would be failing. But ever since updating to 2159, I get zero for all Max Open Losses. Max Open Profits are fine.

Regarding post #4 attach the lines of data from the Trades tab so we can see exactly what you are referring to.

Sure thing... see attached. Although I misspoke slightly. They are zero only on winning trades. They reflect correctly on losing trades. Thanks.

Unless Low Price While Open goes lower than the Entry Price for a Long trade, the Maximum Open Loss will be zero. We are not seeing a problem here.

There is a problem with the updating of the High/ Low Price While Open values in the latest version. We are putting on a new release now.

Hello. Is this fix going to be released soon? I keep updating but it just stays on 2159. Also your "What's New" page shows 2157 as the latest version: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php

I updated to the PreRelease build instead and now have 2162. Unfortunately this issue persists for me. Nearly ever winning trade (though not quite 100%) shows zero Max Open Loss, even though I watched them trade against me while they were happening. Somehow the recorded Low Price While Open is wrong, but I don't know how.

Statistics Log of this month is attached in case it's helpful... notice the Average Winning Trade Open Loss, there's no way I'm THAT good. Thanks.

Update - this appears to be resolved now, on new trades going forwards. Looking at my prior days' trades the data is still in doubt, but I've been watching my trades carefully this morning and they are tracking correctly, even the winners.

Yes only new order fills going forward will have the true Highest/Lowest Price During Positions values.

Hi SC,

I agree on the importance of MAE and how this field in the "trade activity log" is so helpful. I've read the explanations of how our trades are graded according to the range during the trade extensively - I continue to find this method relevant. My question or request is that you consider adding an option to include or base (maybe use both) the efficiency on MAE. I think its just as relevant (maybe more so) than whether we capture the full range when we're in a trade. I've taken a lot of advice from excellent traders that have all said "it isn't what we make its what we don't lose.."

cheers,
