Using IB & the Sierra RT service(which I love btw)

When I place a bracket limit order for corn contract "ZC-201403-ECBOT", I am unable to move it. Also, if I cancel the order, it cancels immediately in TWS, but shows pending cancel in sierra. I then have to "refresh the trade data from service" to remove it.

I have the same problem with other contracts as well (with crude CL today). Also a subscriber to your RT service. On top of that two times today the "flatten" button did not work - has not send the appropriate instruction to the TWS.

We have tested the ZC contract with Interactive Brokers. We did notice a problem where the Tick Size was not set correctly. This could result in a limit or stop order not being accepted by Interactive Brokers. Possibly also cause an error with modification. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page here to get updated symbol settings:

This most definitely will not cause any trouble though when canceling order. We hear a lot about the problem where Interactive Brokers does not provide an order status update when an order is canceled indicating the order is canceled. We did not observe any problem with this in our testing. There is not anything we can do to help with it.

There is 0% chance of the Flatten function not working properly from within Sierra Chart. As long as you have a position, it will definitely send a market order to TWS. You can look at the Trade >> Trade Service Log and the Trade >> Trade Activity Log for all of the logging related to using the Flatten function and see what the problem was. So this is something that you have to look into, and take it up with Interactive Brokers and decide whether using Interactive Brokers is appropriate for you.

This is a specific section that you need to go to to get updated symbol settings:

The original link we gave which has been updated, did not go to the specific section.

One other thing we want to add in regards to using Flatten, we said that it will work as long as there is a position. However, if you have a position but for whatever reason Interactive Brokers has not communicated that through properly to Sierra Chart, then it is not going to Flatten your position but there will be a message shown in Trade >> Trade Service Log indicating this.

In the case where your position is reported as 0 when you actually have a position, you will then need to use the Order Fill Calculated Position:

Thank you very much for your explanation. I will have a look into the Trade Service Log to see what has happened.
