I use the "Account Balance Graph - External" study to determine risk parameters for each trade (# of contracts and % of Account Balance).

This study works fine in Sim. However, when I switch to Live Trading, the account balance appears as zero (the actual balance is NOT zero). This occurs because the "Cash Balance" and "Available Funds for New Positions" on the "Orders and Positions" window both show as zero.


How do I get my TRUE account balance to show in Live Trading? Broker is AMP, they say the issue is not on their end.

In the case of when using the CQG Web API, we do not see a particular field of data from CQG for the Cash Balance but we see the Account Value so we will use that and then we will also be able to calculate the Available Funds for New Positions by using the Account Value minus the Margin Requirement. This will be out in the next release.
