Hi.

I am using sierrachart to place orders to interactive brokers

Testing sim mode, i am placing a bracket order , 1 lot, triggered trail stop. trail offset 16 ticks, triggered offset 4ticks, stop offset 20 ticks.

When price moves 4 ticks in my favor the trailing stop does not move.

In live trading the triggered trail stop order is placed as a simple stop order in interactive brokers.

tested with 1915 and 1919.

are there any settings that i need to adjust?

thanks in advance

We would not expect there to be any move at that price point but further price movement away from the stop, it will move. We recommend testing this during a chart replay.

Good morning.

I tested a simple trailing stop order in replay and it works fine.

On the other hand, placing the same bracket order in live trading, it doesn't.

Any particular reason why this is happening?

There should be no problem with this. It does not matter whether the trading is live or not. The only potential problem with live trading is order modification rejections but those would be displayed in the Trade >> Trade Service Log.

i did a modification of the bracket order and i see in the log the following message:

Order Modification Error: Order modification not confirmed by user. Internal Order ID: 1185. Service Order ID: 417. Account: ......| 2019-05-20 11:08:34.847

Is that a problem?

ps.i have the "adjust attached orders to maintain same offset on parent fill" checked

No that is not the problem. It just means you did not acknowledge the order modification confirmation that displayed . Did you set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trade and Current Quote Symbol?

Yes.

Symbol is ES but i am actually trading micro's with "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" and use as trade only symbol.

Maybe there is a conflict there?

Yes that is the problem. Use prerelease 1920 to resolve this.

I have placed a live trailing stop bracket order and can confirm that under version 1920 the trailing still not working

Open a separate chart for the Trade and Current Quote symbol that you are using and see if you still notice a problem. Market data updates need to be started for that trade symbol.

Good morning.

I can confirm that trailing stop order works as expected when order is placed on a chart for the Symbol.

Only conflict is when order is placed on a chart for a different symbol and the use of "use as trade only symbol"

Did you enter that date within Chart >> Chart Settings>> Advanced Settings >>Dates to Exclude? There really is no possibility of there being a problem with this and we cannot reproduce any problem with this.

Due to how your Session Times are set, the data that is displayed on 5-27-2019 even with the excluded date, is the evening session data, that is actually associated with the 5-28-2019 trading day. This is explained in the documentation here:
Chart Settings: Set Dates To Exclude (Button) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Chart Data menu)
